Design as product value driver
The design is built around a principle of functional minimalism prioritising purpose, utility, and efficiency. Nothing is decorative, every element earns its place by helping users read data or support a data-informed decision. What I chose not to include is as important as what's there.
Complexity was handled through progressive disclosure across three tabs prioritising clarity for brand managers and density for analysts. AI-assisted interpretation is managed through the genie lamp symbol which surfaces Presto contextually on demand with the SO WHAT layer rather than surfacing interpretations that would affect overall screen clarity. This keeps the interface scannable while making AI feel native to the product rather than bolted on, and reinforcing brand identity at the moment of the value promise.
I introduced a design constraint limiting critical signals to above the fold which forced better prioritisation and, together with tabular architecture, produced a layout that translates seamlessly to mobile without redesign. The central tension throughout was balancing clarity with functionality enough signal for pattern recognition, not so much that it introduces cognitive friction.
